Title: Advanced Research Directions in Machine Learning

Abstract:

Machine Learning research has been making great progress in many directions. This talk summarizes four of these directions and discusses some current open problems. The four directions are (a) improving classification accuracy by learning ensembles of classifiers, (b) methods for scaling up supervised learning algorithms, (c) reinforcement learning, and (d) learning complex stochastic models.

Bio:

Dr.A.Prasanth currently working as an Assistant Professor at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Sriperumpudur, India. He received the B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai and the M.E degree in Computer Science and Engineering (with specialization in Networks) from Anna University, Chennai and also received the Ph.D degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India. Recently, he has received the Young Scientist Award from International Scientist Award 2020 for his excellent research performance. Next, he has received Researcher of the Year Award 2020 from “2nd International Business and Academic Excellence Awards (IBAE)”, at Delhi, held on 26/12/2020. Moreover, he has received the Young Researcher Award from “Institute of Scholars Awards” 2020.

He has published more than 25 research articles in reputed International Journals among which 7 articles are indexed in SCI and 15 articles are indexed in Scopus. He has published and granted two patents. Further, he has published more than 8 Books under reputed publishers. He has served as a Resource person in 20 AICTE Sponsored STTP programs. Moreover, he has served as Editorial Board Member in various reputed SCI Journals. He has 9 years of teaching experience and his research interests include Internet of Things, Edge Computing, Cloud Computing and 5G network.

Abstract:

The rapid development and implementation of smart and Internet of Things (IoT) based technologies have allowed for various possibilities in technological advancements for different aspects of life. The main goal of IoT technologies is to simplify processes in different fields, to ensure a better efficiency of systems (technologies or specific processes) and finally to improve life quality. Bio:

Balamurugan Balusamy is currently working as an Associate Dean Student in Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR. Prior to this assignment he was Professor, School of Computing Sciences & Engineering and Director International Relations at Galgotias University, Greater Noida, India. His contributions focuses on Engineering Education, Block chain and Data Sciences. His Academic degrees and twelve years of experience working as a Faculty in a global University like VIT University, Vellore has made him more receptive and prominent in his domain. He does have 200 plus high impact factor papers in Springer, Elsevier and IEEE. He has done more than 80 Edited and authored books and collaborated with eminent professors across the world from top QS ranked university. Prof. Balamurugan Balusamy has served up to the position of Associate Professor in his stint of 12 years of experience with VIT University, Vellore.

He had completed his Bachelors, Masters and PhD Degrees from Top premier institutions from India. His passion is teaching and adapts different design thinking principles while delivering his lectures. He has published 80+ books on various technologies and visited 15 plus countries for his technical course. He has several top-notch conferences in his resume and has published over 200 of quality journal, conference and book chapters combined. He serves in the advisory committee for several startups and forums and does consultancy work for industry on Industrial IOT. He has given over 195 talks in various events and symposium.

Dr. Rajesh Kumar Dhanaraj

Bio:

Dr Rajesh Kumar Dhanaraj is a distinguished Professor at Symbiosis International (Deemed University) in Pune, India. Before joining Symbiosis International University, he served as a Professor at the School of Computing Science & Engineering at Galgotias University in Greater Noida, India. His academic and research achievements have earned him a place among the top 2% of scientists globally, a recognition bestowed upon him by Elsevier and Stanford University. He earned his B.E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University Chennai, India, in 2007. Subsequently, he obtained his M.Tech degree from Anna University Coimbatore, India, in 2010. His relentless pursuit of knowledge culminated in a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Anna University, Chennai, India, in 2017. He has authored and edited over 50 books on various cutting-edge technologies and holds 21 patents. Furthermore, he has contributed over 100 articles and papers to esteemed refereed journals and international conferences, in addition to providing chapters for several influential books.
Dr. Dhanaraj has shared his insights with the academic community by delivering numerous tech talks on disruptive technologies. He has forged meaningful partnerships with esteemed professors from top QS-ranked universities around the world, fostering a global network of academic excellence. His research interests encompass Machine Learning, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Wireless Sensor Networks. Dr. Dhanaraj’s expertise in these areas has led to numerous research talks on Applied AI and Cyber Physical Systems at various esteemed institutions.
Dr. Dhanaraj has earned the distinction of being a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is also a member of the Computer Science Teacher Association (CSTA) and the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). Dr. Dhanaraj’s commitment to academic excellence extends to his role as an Associate Editor and Guest Editor for renowned journals, including Elsevier Computers and Electrical Engineering, Human-centric Computing and Information Sciences, Emerald – International Journal of Pervasive Computing and Communications, and Hindawi – Mobile Information Systems.
His expertise has earned him a position as an Expert Advisory Panel Member of Texas Instruments Inc., USA.

Dr. Ali Kashif Bashir

Bio:

Ali is the Professor of Computer Networks and Cybersecurity at the Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, director of future networks research group, and head of IoT/Cybersecurity testbed. Over the years, Ali has delivered over 45 keynotes across the globe, authored over 300 research articles, and led multimillion projects to completion across the globe. He is also leading cybersecurity pathway of Centre of Digital Innovation (CDI)- an 8-million-pound strategic partnership of the Northwest, UK businesses. His students have won best paper awards, best PhD thesis awards, and several other recognitions. He is particularly interested in using AI algorithms to resolve networks and cybersecurity problems.Ali has received several awards and recognitions. He enjoyed honorary and adjunct positions in UK, China, Canada, Middle East, Malaysia, India, and Pakistan. He was listed as IEEE Featured Author in 2021, highly cited 2% researchers by Stanford University 2021 and 2022, shortlisted for Clarivate Highly Cited award 2023. He is AE of over10 international ISI indexed journals including two IEEE Transactions, and Scientific Reports, Nature, and EIC of IEEE Technology, Policy and Ethics, and Journal of Autonomous Intelligence.
